lincoln park condominium
We combined two two-bedroom developer designed corner units in a Lincoln Park high-rise in Chicago into a three-bedroom unit with home office. The original units had one large combined kitchen/dining/living space each, and we created a kitchen/dining space with a large chef’s kitchen and a separate formal living room. Cabinets and appliances from the original kitchens were salvaged and combined into the larger kitchen. Finishes throughout the unit were upgraded from the developer standards, and the master suite was expanded to include a very large walk-in closet.
lincoln park townhome
As part of an ongoing renovation project, we designed a new kitchen/dining space for a townhome in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. The kitchen was an enclosed space, with no connection to the rest of the living space. We reoriented the kitchen and opened it into the dining room to create a continuous living, dining and kitchen area.
MARIGNY RAILROAD HOME
New Orleans, Louisiana
We renovated and refreshed a neglected railroad-style home in Faubourg Marigny, north-east of the French Quarter in New Orleans. A large unused brick fireplace and chimney were removed from the center of the living space to create an open dining/kitchen area, while the disused brick fireplaces in the formal parlor and bedrooms were brought back to life. The exterior was repainted in a subdued yet striking color scheme, and new paint and furniture inside create a clean, friendly home.
We customized a developer standard loft condo in Bucktown on a shoestring budget by adding color, new materials and custom light fixtures. The kitchen was expanded with a second tier of upper cabinets to take advantage of the high ceilings. We took advantage of the limited area by using furniture to create distinct living and work spaces.
lincoln park loft
We designed a renovation of an outdated kitchen in a Lincoln Park loft condo. We worked with the client and cabinet fabricator to reorganize the layout, update the appliances and add storage. We took advantage of the adjacent underutilized breakfast area, continuing the millwork and making it a functional part of the kitchen while maintaining an eating area.
